PURPOSE:To enable the sorting of a substance to be sorted simultaneously with the measurement thereof in the process of the transfer thereof, by passing the substance to be sorted on a composite material, and by setting the routes of the transfer so that the substance to be sorted is transferred to the right to the longitudinal direction on the composite material or in the direction in accordance with the amount of flexure of the material caused by the load of said substance. CONSTITUTION:A composite material A is fitted to a wall 3 corresponding to the entrance 2 of a sorter. Guards 4 are provided on both sides of the composite material A so as to prevent a substance to be sorted from dropping from the sides, while a first sorting route 5 accepting a substance lighter in weight than a prescribed amount and a second sorting route 6 accepting a substance heavier than said amount are arranged correspondingly at the free end of the material A. In addition, the composite material A is not horizontal, but given some tilt angle alpha so that said substances can be transferred by the force of gravity. When a substance B to be sorted in weight is put on a carrier 7 and sent out from the entrance 2 of the sorter onto the composite material A, the flexure corresponding to the weight is given to the composite material in the process of transfer. This flexure turns to be the torsion in the direction perpendicular to the direction of intensification. Consequently, the carrier 7 moves along a route X or a route Y according to the weight of the load, and the substance is sorted into the first sorting route 5 or the second sorting route 6. |
