PURPOSE:To control the ignition of the lighter at a time interval of a timer determined by the user and to inhibit the performance of the timer function at will by the user. CONSTITUTION:A time-up signal A of a program counter 3 is inputted to an ignition control circuit 5 for controlling the operation of an ingition mechanism 7 of the ligher. The ignition control circuit 5 causes the lighter to perform its ignition function by the time-up signal A of the program counter 3. When an ignition switch 6 is turned ON in the above condition, the ignition mechanism 7 is ignited to thereby light a cirgarette. Simultaneously with the above operation, the program counter 3 and the ignition control circuit 5 are reset due to the ON-operation of the ignition switch 6. As a result, the program counter 3 starts to count time, for example, 60min from the beginning and the ignition control circuit 5 holds the ignition mechanism 7 inoperative because the time-up signal of the program counter 3 is outputted. Further, when terminals 4a, 4b, 4c and 4d of a frequency dividing ratio setting switch 4 are all turned OFF, the operation of the timer can be inhibited. |
