PURPOSE:To prevent the erosion of wooden house foundation by keeping the foundation dry by a method in which small gravels are buried in a cement mortar layer on the foundation concrete in such a way as to project them partly from the surface of the cement mortar, and the sill of a wooden house is supported on the upper ends of the small gravels. CONSTITUTION:After a foundation concrete 12 is placed, a cement mortar layer mixed with small gravels 15 as coarse aggregate is provided on the strip footing 12b of the concrete 12 in such a way as to make the upside of the strip foundation 12b even. Before the mortar layer 14 hardens, compressed air or jet water is blown onto the upside of the mortar layer 14 to wash the mortar away in order to project part of the small gravels 15 from the upside. After the mortar layer 14 hardens, the base 16 is fixed to the foundation concrete 12. Since the downside of the sill 16 is not directly in contact with the upside 14a of the mortar layer 14 and large numbers of air-permeable holes 17 are formed, the sill 16 is always kept dry. |
