<p>The coupling for assembling the hub (23) of a steering wheel (22) on to a steering shaft (1) with adjusting end splines (10). A flange (32) gives the connection between the hub and steering wheel, using an assembly screw (27). The hub seats on a locking cone (29) passing around the shaft, the large base of which presses on the flange. The hub can move angularly relative to the flange, which has interior teeth (33) to mesh with the shaft splines. The flange has arc shaped holes for the screws, for angular adjustment.</p> |
