Process for the production of hydrogen and electric current from carbon-containing fuels and process heat
摘要
The simultaneous production of hydrogen and electric current from carbon-containing fuels and process heat is described. An acid formed from a nonmetallic oxide or a mixture of a halogen and water act as oxygen carrier for the combustion of the carbon-containing fuel performed at a high pressure level. The combustion gases are expanded in a turbine for power generation. The chemical components required for formation of the starting material (acid or mixture of water and halogen) are then separated from the exhaust gas. These processes have significant advantages compared with processes envisaged hitherto for production of hydrogen and electric current.
