The subject of the invention is an aluminium window-sill having lateral border ends which form the transition to the enbrasure. To prevent moisture penetrating through gaps and joints between the border ends and the masonry, the border ends each comprise a covering profile (16) which is axially displaceable against the action of a resilient sealing device (20) and compensates for the changes in length of the window-sill (1) due to temperature fluctuations. <IMAGE>
