<p>PURPOSE:To combine the functions of a copying machine, facsimile equipment, printer, etc., with simple, small-sized constitution, by using a photoreceptor of specific constitution and a signal electrode head provided mutually independent electrodes in an insulating body which moves along the surface of the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:The photoreceptor has the lamination constitution of a conductive supporter 5, photoconductive layer 6, insulating layer 7, etc., and the signal electrode head 3 moving on the surface of the photoreceptor is made of the insulating body equipped with the mutually independent electrode 2. When a negative voltage is applied to this head 3 and a scan on the photoreceptor surface is made, positive holes are injected from the supporter 5 into the layer 6 to be trapped in the interface between the layers 6 and 7 to cause charge polarization in the photoreceptor, and an electrostatic latent image for copying is formed by following light image exposure. On the other hand, when a voltage having the polarity corresponding to a picture signal is applied to the electrode 2, the distribution of positive holes injected into the layer 6 varies according to the picture to form an electrostatic latent image corresponding to the electric signal input. This latent image is converted into an electric signal similarly. Thus, the functions of the copying machine, facsimile equipment, printer, etc., are combined by the simple, small-sized constitution.</p> |
