The invention relates to an internal combustion engine with a cylinder crank casing with rows of cylinders arranged in a V-shape. In order to reduce vibrations of the rows of cylinders in operation of the internal combustion engine and hence the radiated noise, supports comprising struts, fins or plate-shaped walls are provided which extend from the outside upper area to the lower area of the cylinder crank casing and/or in the upper area between the rows of cylinders or between the cylinder heads.
