<p>1292840 Rotary pump DANFOSS A/S 27 Nov 1969 [30 Nov 1968] 58134/69 Heading F1F [Also in Divisions F2 and F4] A pump for supplying liquid fuel to a burner (See Division F3-4) comprises a bore 12 containing a rotatable internally toothed ring 13 and a rotatable externally toothed wheel 15 forming displacement chambers 18 which progressively increase then decrease in volume from the suction side to the pressure side of the pump, the two chambers of maximum volume being connected by a groove 21 to a passage 10 in an end wall of the bore 12 containing fuel under pressure so that air occluded in the pumped fuel is compressed by fuel supplied from the passage 10 to reduce noise in the pump. A second groove 22 in the end wall of the bore 12 interconnects that chamber of maximum volume on the pressure side of the pump with the next adjacent chamber and with the passage 10 so that the excess fuel can be expelled, or additional fuel supplied, as required. The pump is connected to a source of fuel via an arcuate groove 19 and a passage 3 and with the burner via a groove 20 and a passage 4.</p> |
