PURPOSE:To obtain a Chinese drug extract having high solubility, by extracting a Chinese drug with an extraction solvent, adding a specific nonionic surfactant to the extracted liquid or its concentrate, drying the mixture and optionally mixing with a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A Chinese drug is extracted with an extraction solvent. The extracted liquid or its concentrate is added with a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of >= 7 (e.g. polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, polyoxyethylene glycerol fatty acid ester, etc.), dried by vacuum drying, freeze drying, etc., and mixed with a proper vehicle (e.g. sugar, starch, cellulose, etc.) to obtain the objective Chinese drug extract agent. The amount of the nonionic surfactant is preferably 0.3-5%. A Chinese drug extract agent having high solubility can be produced by this process. |
