[Also in Division B8] A device for removing faulty objects 5 from a conveyor 2, 3 is controlled by a sensing means, such as a light 19 and photo-cell 20, which examines each object and on detecting a fault causes a valve 6 to admit compressed air to a first nozzle 9 and a second nozzle 10; the faulty object is thereby lifted from and blown off the conveyor. Supply of air to the nozzles 9, 10 may be sequential. The position of the device relative to the conveyor may be adjusted by means of slide tracks 18. The nozzle 9 may be inclined towards the direction of travel.</p> |
