The pipe (1) has an annular protrusion which adjoins an internal grooved chamber of the pipe. The pipe has an end edge (3) to which the inner wall of the pipe adjoins. The closure cap (5) has a bottom as well as a surrounding upstanding wall, comprising cylindrical parts (7) which are interconnected with outward protrusions (8). The ridges (14) are between the protrusions and the cylindrical parts. Pref. a cylindrical top part (15) is positioned between the end edge of the cap and the top (8a) of the wall protrusion. The bottom converges via a conical wall part (6) into the cylindrical parts and the protrusions. The end flange (13) is profiled and ears (9) are part of the flange (15). The cap is deep drawn from plastics sheeting.
