A device for sealing off the beneath gap doors comprises a U-shaped section (1) which is fastened to the underside of the door leaf (3) and in which an elastic sealing lip (6) is pivotably mounted. The square tube (5) carrying the sealing lip is mounted at its end facing the door hinge via an end part (8) which can be slipped onto the profiled strip and which in turn is screwed to the door leaf (3). At the end remote from the door hinge, the square tube (5) is connected to a spindle part (16) in such a way as to be fixed in terms of rotation. The spindle part (16) in turn is pivotably connected to a pivotable cam (31) which runs on the door frame when the door is closed and thereby pivots the sealing lip (6) into its sealing position. <IMAGE>
