PURPOSE:To obtain a plate body with low production cost and excellent durability by covering a plate with a porous active material protection body made of acid-proof, oxidation resisting, and thermoplastic synthetic resin and sewing the said protection bodies together through an active material layer using a thermoplastic thread-type body with acid resistance and oxidation resistance. CONSTITUTION:An active material protection body 4 made of the woven fabric of thermoplastic synthetic resin and the like is made to closely touch the front and rear of a plate filled with a paste 2 that is manufatured by kneading lead powder and dilute sulfuric acid on a substrate 1 made of lead or its alloy and the active mterial protection bodies 4 in the front and rear of the plate 3 are sewed through a paste (layer) 2 using a thread-type body 5 made of polyethylene. Then the thread-type body 5 and the active material protection body 4 just under the said thread-type body 5 are simultaneously heated and dissolved by means of a convex heating plate and the same location is cooling-pressed and integrated. |
