<p>An indicator for displaying measurement and surface deviation from initial reference measurement level which includes the probe needle (N) positionable against the surface being measured. The probe needle (N) provides a control signal representative of probe needle (N) position and there is provided display (Y) for displaying the relative surface deviation from the reference measurement level. The sensor from the probe needle (N) comprises a capacitive sensing layers comprising a fixed plate (22A) and a movable plate (22) with the probe needle (N) secured to the movable plate (22) whereby the movable plate moves with the probe needle (N) to cause a change in capacitance between the plates thereby generating the control signal. </p> |
