The invention is a device for cutting away foreign bodies, in particular the ends of feed pipes, protruding laterally into a collecting channel. The device is composed of a drive component (1) which is mounted in runners (5) distributed around the circumference, and a pot-shaped cutting tool (2). The drive component bears a motor (8) which drives a shaft (6) at whose end the interchangeable cutting tool is fastened. The shaft is displaceably mounted in the drive component so that said component can be held tight during the cutting process and only the tool is displaced. In order to hold tight the drive component, the latter is provided with expansion devices (11) with which it is clamped tight to the channel wall and, for the advance of the cutting tool, an eyelet (12) is provided inside the cutting pot, into which eyelet a control cable can be latched, which cable can be pulled outside the channel. <IMAGE>
