To prevent burning away of the ornate and hence expensive decorations on the shaft, the decoration is applied over a hollow plastic cylinder with a closed, recessed top as a wax coating. The conical insert with its central wick is of wax of stearine and has a plastic bottom shell to which the wick is clamped and which fits in the upper recess.
