<p>The two side walls of an automatic loom shuttle are connected at one end but are separated at the end housing the clamp for the base of the weft pirn. The clamping action is maintained by a rubber band. Projections on the pirn base engage in the clamping surfaces. At the surface separating the two shuttle walls a projection that may be integral or fixed to the one wall engages in a recess in the opposite wall to prevent distortion of alignment of the side walls of the shuttle, especially during pirn change.</p> |
