The invention relates to an arrangement for regulating a three-phase asynchronous machine which is supplied from a converter having a current intermediate circuit (I converter). The components of the regulating device include a decoupling network, a higher-level setting-frequency control loop, a lower-level slip-frequency control loop, and an actual value computer. In order to improve a dynamically high-quality control method, which is known per se, by means of practically-related new arrangements, and in order to specify simple dimensionings, in technical equipment terms, for the regulator parameters, it is proposed according to the invention that the rotor flux linkages psi R are also determined in the actual-value computer and that the regulating variable gamma R, which is proportional to the slip ring frequency, and is produced from the quotient of the internal torque mi divided by the square of the rotor flux linkages psi R is held equal to the preset value psi R* for virtually all operating states, in that the decoupling network which is matched to the lower-level slip-frequency control loop supplies the desired values for the stator current is* and the additional frequency f epsilon *.
