The machine is for making ice cubes and consists of a frame with a refrigeration circuit. There is an ice-box mounted on the frame which can be shifted by a mechanism from a top position to a bottom position. The ice-box is supplied with water via a pipe. There is also an agitator unit, an electrical power supply and control mechanism for the agitator. There is a switch connected directly in series with the electrical section of the control mechanism for the box. The switch does not return to the original position when the position of the motor has changed. The position of the switch is changed when the agitator mechanism encounters resistance as a result of ice formation.
