In a drain valve for a blood pressure measurement device which can be switched from a first stable position at least into one stable quick-draining position (see Figure) by displacement of a circular cylindrical first adjustment element (20) in the circular cylindrical inner space (4) of a valve housing (2) and in which the drainage speed being measured can be set by twisting a second adjustment element (70) relative to the first adjustment element (20) about the cylinder axis of the latter element, a guide element (66) which is essentially non-displaceable in the peripheral direction and engages in an axial groove (26) formed in the outer shell of the first adjustment element (20) is arranged, according to the invention, on the inner wall (5) of the inner space (4). This guarantees reliable adjustability, especially of the second adjustment element, with a simple shape of the elements. <IMAGE>
