Jaw chuck

A jaw chuck for the external chucking of cylindrical parts to be turned has three basic bodies which are each connected to two basic jaws (6, 7) by a floating bridge (2). These basic jaws each pivotably carry a floating jaw (8, 9). By this design it is possible to drive only the three basic bodies (1) but nonetheless uniformly chuck a workpiece (14) at a total of twelve points. <IMAGE>
