PURPOSE:To suppress the leakage of main oscillation energy, by setting the length of a base part to more than a specific multiple of the width of supporting parts corresponding to tuning fork arms. CONSTITUTION:The logitudinal oscillation type piezoelectric oscillator formed of a main oscillation part 12 for longitudinal oscillation, coupling parts 13 and 13', supporting parts 14 and 14' and the base part 15 in the one body by photoetching work has the coupling parts 13 and 13' in the breadthwise direction of the oscillation part 12 where the oscillation displacement of the main oscillation part 12 is minimized; the supporting parts 14 and 14' are extended from both ends of the coupling parts 13 and 13' in parallel to one main oscillation part 12, and the base part 15 is provided so that the supporting parts 14 and 14' form a tuning fork shape. Then, the length L of the base part 15 is set more than twice as long as the width W of the supporting parts 14 and 14' corresponding to the tuning fork arms. |
