The brushing aid for water-thin products is intended for fitting onto the outlet opening (4) of a product container (1) having flexible walls (2, 3). The object is to make brushing possible both during overhead work and during horizontal and downwardly directed operations without material losses and without any special precautions against soiling directly from the respective product container (1). According to the invention, a brushing aid comprising a tubular chamber (7) to be fitted onto the outlet opening (4) is provided, the said chamber being filled with a cluster (19) of absorbent fibres projecting beyond the open outer end (18) of the chamber (7). The upper edge (29) of the fibre cluster (19) is to be pressed together or fanned out in the form of a mushroom with the aid of a union nut (24). <IMAGE>
