A stop (9) for an inertia-reel safety belt is clamped on the diagonal run (6) of the safety belt adjacent to the upper guide (4) and transmits the self-reeling force of the safety belt to an upper anchorage thus relieving pressure upon a user's chest. The stop comprises a body (10) in which a slide (30), carrying a knurled roller (50) is slidable between a clamped position in which the roller engages the run (6) of the belt thus clamping the stop (9) to the belt, and a released position in which the roller (50) is free to rotate and the stop (9) is therefore slidable along the run (6) of the belt. |
