PURPOSE:To uniform the temperature distribution of the outer periphery of a casing to permit to remove the thermal deformation thereof by a method wherein an overflow hole is bored on the upper part of the outer periphery of a pump casing and the leakig liquid metal is flowed down along the wall surface from the upper part of the outer periphery of the pump casing. CONSTITUTION:The overflow hole 19 is bored on the upper part of the outer periphery of the pump casing 7 while a flow path 20, arranged in spiral on the outer periphery of the casing 7 below the overflow hole 19 and flowing the leaking sodium liquid along the wall surface of the casing, is provided. The leaking sodium liquid in the pump casing 7 is whirled by the accompanying flow due to the rotation of a rotary shaft 10 and the temperature distribution of the pump casing 7 becomes uniform. The leaking sodium liquid, flowing down from the overflow hole 19, uniforms the temperature distribution of the outer periphery of the casing 7 further, because of the arrangement of the spiral flow path 20, therefore, the thermal deformation of the casing 7 may be removed and the reliability of the pump may be improved. |
