A generator unit, for driving an electric vehicle is driven by fans on the vehicle or by the vehicle transmission. The generator can also become a traction unit and is capable of charging batteries in the vehicle in motion. The generating unit can have six stator coils, or windings consisting of twelve identical overlapping coils. The twelve coils are wired to form a three phase winding with four coils connected in series in each. The said six coils are rewound in the stator windings to thirty four winds per coil to bring about a higher feasable charge from the generator at low revolutions per minute to an isolated bank of batteries in the electric vehicle. |
