PURPOSE:To prevent the unjust use of a card, by recording a secret memory and an available period in the card including various information required for transaction and transacting only through terminal devices without referring a ledger, and inhibiting reissue due to loss within the available period. CONSTITUTION:In addition to discrimination codes such as the balance and secret memory, the account number and the available period are recorded in the card 1 including various information required for transaction and transacting only through terminal devices 3-5 without collation with the ledger 2. The same records are stored in the ledger 2. If the available period exceeds, a new card 1 is updated by a terminal 6. In case of no update, the terminals 3-5 reject the transaction. The ledger 2 inputs information from the terminal devices 3-5 periodically to update the data. Even if the card 1 is lost within the available period, reissue of the card 1 is inhibited. When the available period exceeds, a new card 1 is reissued after updating the secret memory and available period. Thus, unjust use due to double issue of the card is prevented. |
