PURPOSE:To improve chamfering efficiency by sharply increasing the value of allowable error of continuous positioning accuracy of the chamfering head and increasing the driving speed of the chamfering head more than those of the conventional NC chamfering device. CONSTITUTION:On a chamfering head 12 driven by X-Y drive system in a NC chamfering device for glass plates, a servomotor 13 for driving the Z-axis and a servomotor 14 for driving the rotation of a chamfering wheel are installed. The chamfering wheel 15 supported by a spindle housing 16 is driven for rotation by the motor 14. A supporting shaft for an arm 18, to which the housing 16 is fixed, is placed on the same axis as the horizontal axis of rotation (Z-axis). This arm 18 is able to swing on the Z axis by the length of the stroke of the lever and air cylinder attached to the arm 18 within the frame of the Z-axis rotation. Thus, the chamfering efficiency can be improved. |
