Foamed plastics tire is manufd. by partially filling a mold (21) cavity including a thin-walled synthetic resin cone with a foamable mixture, and allowing the mixture to foam to fill the cavity. The resultant tire has a foam cover and a thin-walled annular cone. The cavity is crescent-shaped in the radial direction. The core (8) is pref. a hollow annulus having radially extending corrugations.
