PURPOSE:To certainly seal the fitting boundary part by interposing a ring-shaped elastic sealing member between a metal gasket and the fitting boundary part between a cylinder block and a sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 12 is fitted onto a cylinder block 11, and a water jacket 13 is formed between the block 11 and the sleeve 12. A metal gasket 15 is interposed between the counter crank chamber side edge surface of the block 11 and the sleeve 12 and a cylinder head 14. An O-ring 28 made of heat- resisting elastic material is fitted between the metal gasket 15 and the fitting boundary part 27 on the counter crank chamber side of the cylinder block 11 and the sleeve 12. Therefore, the fitting boundary part 27 can be certainly sealed, and the elastic sealing member can be used again also in the assembly after disassembly. |
