PURPOSE:In a tool selecting method, to facilitate programing by storing the correspondence between the name and number of tool and producing a tool selecting instruction of only the tool name command thereby eliminating input of tool number. CONSTITUTION:The correspondence between the name and number of tool is stored in a memory. Then the tool name in NC program data stored in normal format in NC tape 104 except tool selection command is identified to read out the corresponding tool code from said memory. Then said tool code is outputted to a machine tool where desired tool is selected on the basis of the tool code. |
