An automatic bank note transaction apparatus (1) according to the present invention automatically performs a transaction operation by communicating with a host computer. The apparatus is provided with a storing section (21 or 22) for storing bank notes (A), a temporary stacking section (38) for temporarily stacking the bank notes, a control section (150) for causing a conveying path (R) to convey the bank notes from the storing section to the temporary stacking section in accordance with a dispersing mode set in an operation section (3) and for simultaneously communicating with the host computer to confirm whether or not the dispensing mode is established, and a dispensing unit (12) for allowing the bank notes stacked in the temporary stacking section to be taken out from a bank note dispensing port (7) when the control section communicates with the host computer and the transaction is detected to be established. <IMAGE> |
