PURPOSE:To easily obtain a prescribed view angle and to reduce heat capacity by detecting radiant infrared rays from a target object through an optical system while the object is cooled with liquid nitrogen, etc., and outputting the quantity of detected infrared rays in the form of an electric signal with a level corresponding to the quantity. CONSTITUTION:A cold aperture 7 which forms the prescribed view angle is provided on the surface of a detecting element 1 so as to catch only infrared rays from the target body in external input infrared rays. This view angle is specified by the interval between the surface of the element 1 and the hole of the aperture 7 and the size of the hole. Further, the cold aperture 7 is made of a cylindrical infrared-ray nontransmissive glass material which has an internal diameter (d) and grinded by a grinding machine to obtain length h1 which is the sum of specific height (h) from the surface of the element 1 and the width of the element 1. Then, the cold aperture 7 is mounted on a sapphire substrate 2 so that the center of the internal diameter of the cold aperture 7 is aligned with the perpendicular to the center point of the element 1, and the lower part of the cold aperture 7 is bonded to the substrate 2. |
