PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of smoke upon low-speed high-load operation by a method wherein an engaging means for both levers is provided between a tension lever and a start lever. CONSTITUTION:The engaging means 50 for both levers 22, 23 is provided between the tension lever 23 and the start lever 22 by means of grip members 50a, 50b of male and female types. The engaging means 50 engages at the revolving number of N0 in the diagram or a point d by the centrifugal force of a fly weight 44, the resilient force of a start idling spring 36, an engaging force possessed by the engaging means 50 itself while the engaging means is released at the changing point h of the diagram, wherein the g-h characteristics in which the resilient force of the start idling spring 36 only is operating is changed into the h-j characteristics in which the resilient force of the start spring 28 only is operating as shown in the diagram, or at the revolving number of N2. Accordingly, a revolving number in which the fuel injection amount enters into a start increasing area is lower than N1 and, therefore, this revolving number is set so as to be lower than the idling revolving number N1. |
