PURPOSE:To provide high sealing performance by excavating a conical bearing hole in the bearing member of a sealing device, furnishing the rotary shaft with a conical part mating with said hole with a minor clearance, forming a groove at the surface of this cone, and thereby securely checking the liquid movement by means of the centrifugal force of the cone. CONSTITUTION:Bearing member 10 of a self-sealing device C is composed of a cylindrical hole 11 and two conical bearings enlarging symmetrically 12, 12'. The shaft 20 is composed of a cylindrical shaft part 21 and a pair of solid cones 22, 22', which are connected with the shaft part 21 coaxially and form a minor clearance E between these and above-mentioned conical bearings 12, 12' of the bearing member 10. These cones 22, 22' are provided at their surfaces with eight grooves 23-23. When the rotary shaft 1 revolves at a high speed, the shaft 20 revolves also at a high speed to allow the liquid filling the groove 23 to move to the basis of the cones by means of the centrifugal force to return to the division for liquid A or B. Thus a sealing without contact part can be obtained with high reliability. |
