Asphalt expansion joint filler for architectural atructure is prepared from cork powder, lauan saw-dust, and the asphalt mixture(I). Mixing ration of cork to saw-dust, is 2, and the mixture is dried for 5 minutes through heating under 30-50≦̸C. I is obtained in a rotary mixer at 150-200≦̸C, of which the components and compositions are 60% of brown asphalt, 15% of straight asphalt, 8% of cut back asphalt (RC-3), 7% of cut-back asphalt (MC-3), 5% of asbestos, and 5% of natural rubber. Final product is obtained by means of hydraulic press (300 kg/cm2) from the mixture of 40% cork-saw dust and 60% of I.
