<p>A liquid tight closure consisting of a swinging flap is situated on the outside of the filtered soln. tank of a band filter providing entry into the tank and a controlled outlet for the soln. by partial lifting of the flap to limit the thickness of the filter cake. The closing flap is operated from outside the tank by means of levers driven pneumatically or hydrolically. The levers are provided with adjustable terminal points so that the flap can be set in any desired position and if required, in its seat, forming a liqht tight closure.</p> |
