PURPOSE:In a positioning device of a pick and place unit for an automatic assembler, to enable selection of plural moving positions while to position automatically through single operation, by providing a movable stopper and a fixed stopper on a moving table. CONSTITUTION:Under the state where a movable stopper 25 is lifted through an air cylinder, said cylinder 32 is pulled to collide with one side of the movable stopper 25 against a stator 26 to stop the first movable table 21 then the air cylinder 33 is pulled to collide with the stator 27 against the other side of the movable stopper 25 thus to stop the second movable table 22. Upon pushing of the air cylinders 32, 33, the stators 26a and 27a will collide against another side of the movable stopper 25 and stop. Upon lowering of the movable stopper 25, the first and second moving tables 21, 22 will move to the stroke end of each air cylinder 32, 33. 8 positions in total are obtained in accordance with the position of the movable stopper 25. |
