PURPOSE:To make it possible to rotate a milling cutter by a milling attachment itself for carrying out a cutting process, by incorporating a motor in the attachment and independently controlling the rotational speed thereof. CONSTITUTION:A milling cutter 4 is rotated due to the rotation of a motor 7. No affection 15 made by the shape of a spindle head in a machine tool to which an attachment is fixed, because of carrying out the rotation of the milling cutter 4 by the rotation of the motor 7 in the casing 1 of the attachment, no coupling is necessary between a drive system of the machine tool and the drive shaft of the attachment, and no affection is made to the rotation of the milling cutter 4 by the back-lash in the machine tool drive system. |
