PURPOSE:To make small-sized and low cost one and improved the stability by a method wherein a carbonic acid gas laser oscillator is composed of a pluraity of discharge tubes, constant current circuits are coupled by corresponding to each discharge tube, and further a control circuit which controls the constant current circuits is provided. CONSTITUTION:The gas laser oscillator 1 consists of an anode electrode A and cathode electrodes K1, K2 which are provided in a glass tube. The electrode A of the oscillator 1 is coupled to a high voltage power source and impressed with DC voltage 10kV. The constant currents 3 and 4 are coupled to the electrodes K1 and K2 and controlled by the current control circuit 5. The constant current circuits 3 and 4 use FET's and then determine the current flowing through the drains D and sources S based on the DC voltage impressed on the gate G. Then, the gate voltages of the FET's 6 and 7 vary by adjusting volume resistors R1 and R2 supplied with the voltages E; accordingly the current of the discharge tube can be controlled. |
