<p>A method is disclosed for using a submerged drill guide platform 10 in the drilling and completion of subsea hydrocarbon wells. The method generally comprises securing a submerged drill guide platform on the ocean floor 14, moving a floating drilling platform 26 into position on the surface of the ocean above the submerged drill guide platform, extending a drill string 24 downwardly from said floating drilling platform, extending said drill string through a subsea drilling template 18 mounted on the top of said drill guide platform 10 and through a tubular drill guide 22 mounted on said submerged drill guide platform and conducting drilling operations through said tubular drill guide on said drill guide platform. <IMAGE></p> |
