A battery terminal with a plastic housing 10, which has a threaded piece 15 projecting to the side for screwing on a nut 23, which serves to press a contact assembly 16, 17 with cable 25, 26 mounted thereon against a battery pin 13, is made cheaper in that the nut is also made of plastic. In order to make possible the connection of a starter cable without disassembly of the battery terminal, the contact assembly is configured with a backward extension 27, which projects out through the nut and for a portion of the cable sheath 25. <IMAGE> |
