<p>The compsns. comprise a dispersion of celloidal silica in a soln. of a partial condensate of a Silanol of formula (I) RSi(OH)3 (I) R=1-3C alkyl or aryl) at least 70% of the silanol being CH3Si(OH)3, in a mixt. of an aliphatic alcohol and water. The solids content of the compsns. is 10-50% comprising 10-70% colloidal SiO2 and 30-90% of the partial condensate, and it has a pH of 7.1-7.8, pref. 7.2-7.8. The compsn. also contains a small amt. ie, 2.5-15, pref. about 4% of a polysiloxane-polyether copolymer.</p> |
