<p>An adhesive pad or dressing which will adhere to the body, the pad having an aperture, and a flat flange also having an aperture secured to one surface of the pad whereby the two apertures form an opening through which the stoma can protrude. A coupling member, which is a cylindrical rib, extends substantially perpendicularly from the flange and encircles the opening, the rib including a thin resilient deflectible seal strip extending at an angle radially inward from an inner surface of the rib. The pad is useful for securely coupling an ostomy bag thereto.</p> |
