PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture and to enhance durability, etc., by incorporating a specified disazo compd. in a charge generating layer in a laminate type electrophotographic receptor obtd. by forming the charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer is formed by finely pulverizing a disazo compd. represented by the shown formula in which X, Ar are each an optionally substd. aromatic or hetero ring, in a ball mill or the like, dispersing it into a proper solvent, coating the conductive substrate, such as an aluminum or nickel plate, with said dispersion, and drying it. The intended laminate type electrophotographic receptor is obtained by forming a charge transfer layer on this charge generating layer. The disazo compd. of the formula is obtd. by reducing the dinitro group of 2,7-dinitro-9-dicyanomethylenefluorene to the diamino group, diazotizing it, and allowing the obtd. tetrazonium salt to couple with a corresponding coupler, such as naphthol AS. |
