PURPOSE:To prevent a sheet of copying paper from being moisturized during storage, by attaching a paper pressing plate to the inner part of a moisture-proof cover for a cassette via a spring member and thereby forcibly pressing the said plate down to the piled paper inside the cassette. CONSTITUTION:A cassette 1 is provided with a moisture-poof cover 6 overspreading its opening, and a paper pressing plate 8 is attached to the inner part of the moisture- proof cover 6 via a spring member 7, while a rodlike engaging part 10 interlocked to a cover locking piece 9 at the upper edge part of a rear side wall of the cassette 1 is installed in the rear edge of the mositure-proof cover 6, and likewise a turning claw 12 capable of engaging or releasing the cover 6 to or from a ratch pawl 11 is installed in the front edge of the cover. When an operator intends to provide safekeeping for the cassette 1 upon removal from the copying machine, the paper pressing plate 8 hanging down from the moisture-proof cover 6 is placed on the piled paper 15 and then the rodlike engaging part 10 is made to be interlocked with the cover locking piece 9. Next, the front edge of the cover 6 is pressed downward against the resilient force of the spring member 7, then the ratch pawl 11 and the turning claw are engaged with each other and the piled copying paper 15 is forcibly pressed down by the pressing plate 8. |
