PURPOSE:To realize a simple and compact structure of a door lock mechanism of a magnetic disk device, by providing a manual door open/close control member to a door or a door holding part and setting an LED at the manual operation part of said control member to inhibit the extraction of a disk which is under operation. CONSTITUTION:When a door 1' is pushed after a disk is inserted, a pin 2' abuts a cam part 7a of a lock main body 7. The pin 2' advances further to ride over the part 7a, and the main body 7 is pushed up by a coil spring 14. Thus the pin 2' is latched at the inner side of the main body 7, and the door 1' is locked. When the record/reproduction is started, an LED 10 glows to indicate the inhibition for extraction of the disk. The lock of the door 1' is released by pushing down a knob 7b. An operator always locks at the knob 7b when opening the door 1' during the operation of a magnetic disk device. Therefore the operator notices without fail the LED 10 glowing at the tip surface of the knob 7b. Thus the door 1' is never opened. In such a way, a simple and compact structure is possible for a door lock mechanism of a magnetic disk device. |
