PURPOSE:To always have the correct positioning for a center hole of a disk and to fit a clamp to a spindle, by revolving a disk driving motor after detecting an approach of the disk clamp to the spindle. CONSTITUTION:When a floppy disk is inserted through an inserting port, a clamp arm 5 moves down. Then a clamp 6 is fitted to a fitting recessed part 18 of a spindle 2, and therefore an approach is detected between the arm 5 and the spindle 2. Then a switch is turned on to energize a driving circuit for spindle 2 via a monostable multivibrator. The clamp 6 is fitted to the part 18 via a slant part of an elastic member 19 while the spindle 2 is revolving, and a medium 11 having a shifted center moves easily. Thus the center hole of the floppy disk is always positioned correctly and then clamped satisfactorily by the spindle 2 with no bite, etc. |
