PURPOSE:To detect the maintenance period of a developer recovery box securely, by detecting when the recovery box becomes full by a switch mechanism which detects the number of rotation of a photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:A maintenance period detector 8 consists of a display part 12, detection switch 11, and switch operating mechanism 10. Rotation of the photosensitive drum are transmitted through a worm 17 and a worm gear 18 to a speed reducing mechanism 14 and when the rotation attains to the previously estimated number where the developer recovery box 7 is full, a power shaft 15 makes one turn to operate the detection switch 11 through an eccentric cam 9, displaying a cleaner cleaning mode on the display part 12. The eccentric cam 9 is reset when the box 7 is drawn out. Consequently, the maintenance period of the recovery box 7 is detected securely from the number of rotation of the drum 1. |
